Magnusson Klemencic Associates is active in high-security and blast-resistant designs meeting both GSA and FAA Security Criteria. We have developed and tested state-of-the-art blast mitigation methods, including a high-performance glazed curtain wall and a new floor system designed to resist collapse in the event of a bomb blast. Our design approach incorporates materials that are architecturally pleasing and indistinguishable from other architectural treatments, such as laminated glazing, ornamental metals, high-performance fabrics, and perforated plates.
