25-story vertical expansion to an existing occupied 33-story office building, adding 78,966-m² (850,000 ft²) of new space and bringing the total area to 213,677 m² (2.3 million ft²). MKA’s redesign of the original building’s structural system, developed by another engineer, reduced the amount of required steel by 20 percent. MKA’s redesign also provides increased floor capacities for future programming flexibility and incorporates sustainable materials and finishes and a green roof.
