Civil site design and rejuvenation of a 14,000-m² (3.5-acre) downtown neighborhood park serving as a model of increased sustainability and restorative urban ecology. The innovative civil design celebrates stormwater with a new creek element fed by adjacent building runoff and future surrounding eco-streets. Additional elements include a wooden footbridge, play areas, and multiple low walls to support the site’s gentle grading, replacing a looming 3.7-m- (12-ft-) high concrete wall around the park’s perimeter.
