Seismic retrofit and conversion of an 11-story, 15,422-m² (166,000-ft²) historic Beaux Arts building, circa 1909, into a residential facility. MKA’s unique exterior reinforcement solution achieved the desired building performance levels while creating new residential apartment space throughout the tower and shortening the construction schedule by 25 percent. MKA also coordinated stormwater control requirements and improvements to the surrounding sidewalk.
