Renovation of an existing 2-story, 465-m² (5,000-ft²) recital hall with a 1-story, 186-m² (2,000-ft²) addition. Also includes framing for stairs and skylights in the adjacent 1,858-m² (20,000-ft²) classroom building. Design involves adding CMU buttress walls against an existing basement wall to allow for the demolition of the ground level slab/diaphragm. By demolishing the ground level diaphragm, a 2-story recital space can be created with new steel raker framing.
