Guangzhou International Arena

Guangzhou, China
Five-story, 121,400-m² (1,306,738-ft²) multi-purpose arena with flexible seating configurations for up to 18,000 attendees. Designed for the 2010 Asian Games, the arena now hosts a variety of world-class events such as basketball, international ice events, and major music concerts. MKA’s structural solutions allowed the facility to meet the rigorous standards of a first-class NBA arena, a feature that will allow the arena to become home to the league’s expansion throughout Asia. Curving, long-span structural elements optimize sight lines and add architectural interest.
