King County Goat Hill Parking Structure and Pedestrian Concourse

Seattle, WA

Nine-level, 700-car parking garage constructed on a steeply sloping hillside and serving an adjacent office building with civil site design for one-half city block. A below-grade pedestrian concourse allows users to enter and exit the garage securely without having to traverse the steep site. MKA’s shoring support included permitting review and easement negotiations through Washington State DOT. MKA’s civil design addressed three street frontages and contributed sustainable design practices to help elevate the project to LEED Silver.
