Four-story, 15,329-m² (165,000-ft²) car collection center, 134 m (440 ft) long, housing the world’s largest collection of historic vehicles. The combined storage/exhibition facility features a spectacular heavy timber roof spanning 30.5 m (100 ft) and 7-m- (23-ft-) wide racetrack-shaped ramps around the building’s perimeter for display and visitor access. MKA’s civil site design for 5.3 hectares (13 acres) incorporated unique sustainable elements, such as a self-mitigating, vegetated pavement system instead of traditional pavement.
