Renovation, retrofit, and expansion of a historic 26,941-m² (290,000-ft²) opera house, with a 2,900-seat auditorium, new 400-seat lecture hall, rebuilt stage house and performers’ wing, renewed auditorium and support spaces, and an outdoor public plaza. A five-story curving glass façade and 10 sheer metal scrims on the plaza create an urban front door and enhanced passage to the surrounding Seattle Center campus. The facility is home to the Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet.
