A 20,439-m² (228,000-ft²) design/build airport expansion project with an additional 7,432 m² (80,000 ft²) of renovations. The project includes the new, two-story Concourse D adding six additional departure gates, new north and south wings to the main terminal, and a new central utility plant. Structural innovations include an alternate lateral design for the concourse that saves over $2 million due to reduced steel tonnage and field welding, and a phased construction plan to allow the airport to remain operational during construction.
