Two-phased convention center expansion delivering 222,967 m² (2.4 million ft²) of program space, including a new 65,000-m² (700,000-ft²) building (Phase 1, for which MKA did schematic design) and a 157,935-m² (1.7-million-ft²) building replacing the old center (Phase 2, for which MKA did full design). MKA’s solution for both phases features a multi-story truss system that stacks the exhibition floors, reducing the overall height of the structure. A pedestrian bridge connects the Phase 1 and 2 buildings at the upper level.
