42-story, 128,206-m² (1,380,000-ft²) office building with a 900-car below-grade parking garage and a 16-story extension housing museum expansion space and offices. MKA developed an innovative structural system for the development—the first time used in a North American high-rise—that provides enhanced building performance and significantly improved architectural flexibility. MKA’s shoring design for the 3/4-block site addressed excavation depths over 27.4 m (90 ft) and extensive coordination with below-grade tunnels.
