Alternative seismic solution for a 10-gate, 39,000-m2 (430,000-ft2) expansion to a three-story airport terminal, followed by oversight and peer review of the final design/build structural design. MKA’s enhanced design reduced structural construction cost by over 5 percent and eliminated obstructive columns in the newly expanded concourse and food court, allowing for exceptional passenger flow, flexible usage, and maximized views to the airfield.
