Civil site design for an 83,613-m² (900,000-ft²) redevelopment of a 12.2-hectare (30-acre) portion of an operational airport, replacing an existing terminal with a facility twice the size. Design elements include both air- and land-side infrastructure and associated site work, such as vehicle and aircraft paving and fencing. Also included were a new and interim ground transportation lot, realignment of Air-Cargo Road, significant utility relocations, and related demolition. MKA’s design set new Sea-Tac standards for vehicular access to the aircraft operations area.
