St. Louis Art Museum Renovation and Expansion

St. Louis, MO

18,580-m² (200,000-ft²) expansion to an existing museum, increasing exhibit space by 30 percent and adding a new stairwell, lower-level concourse, art movement utilidor, main entrance, support space, and three levels of below-grade parking with civil site design for 2 hectare (5 acres). A unique concrete grid roof system allows the space between the beams to be used for skylights and blends with the aesthetics of the existing historic structure. Civil solutions for the site, located in the heart of Forest Park, include creation of new green space and innovative redistribution of the site’s stormwater.
