100-story, mixed-use residential and hotel building comprised of three extremely narrow vertical volumes of 100, 75, and 50 stories, slated to be Chicago’s third tallest building.  At 365 m (1,200 ft) tall, with a plan width of only 24 m (80 ft), the building’s alternating 13-story frustums result in 100 different floor plans, which MKA addressed by using only 18 different slab designs.  Tuned liquid sloshing dampers dampen building accelerations and increase occupant comfort, while a 28-foot-tall blow-through level reduces the building’s cross-wind lateral response by 24 percent.
