University of Alaska ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Facility

Four-story, 11,148-m² (120,000-ft²) educational building with dynamic geometry and three distinct wings: the north with a planetarium auditorium and specialty labs, and two south with teaching lab classrooms, offices, and conference spaces. All three wings are connected by a dramatic, long-span atrium. MKA’s structural solutions minimized vibration and cost while maximizing flexibility.
