Significant renovation and expansion of a collegiate football stadium to increase the total capacity to 72,500, with 55,000 of the seats between the goal posts. The renovation replaced the south grandstands, lowered the playing field by 1.5 m (5 ft) to allow seating closer to the action, and expanded the space for UW Sports Medicine. MKA also expanded the stadium in 1982 with a 20,000-seat addition and 4,800-seat replacement. Civil challenges include balancing the needs of University stakeholders and coordinating with multiple adjacent improvement projects.
