Renovation and change-of-use upgrade for the four-story, 9,300-m² (100,000-ft²), 1962 concrete Brotman Building, converting office space into laboratories. MKA’s renovation and seismic retrofit design enhanced earthquake performance, reduced vibrations from 12,000 to 2,000 microinches per second, and strengthened the roof to hold extensive equipment.
