19-story, 33,663-m² (362,346-ft²) medical campus addition, with half of the levels designed as double-tall floors to seamless link to an existing 17-story hospital tower. The design provides full flexibility, with any floor able to function as treatment, diagnostic, surgery, or patient space. The project also includes an emergency department, critical care unit, new lobby entrance, and a 1-m- (102-ft-) long, pedestrian bridge. MKA Civil addressed an alley vacation, and designed site improvements and three street frontages for the one-half city block.
