Over the last nine decades, MKA’s most frequent building type has been healthcare. We have completed the structural design of more than 320 healthcare facilities on over 155 campuses, incorporating every program type and scope. Using advanced applications of BIM and Lean Design, MKA’s Healthcare Specialist Group produces performance-enhanced facilities that are future-code compliant and incorporate proprietary vibration and damping techniques for state-of-the-art medical procedures (robotic surgery, proton therapy, etc.). Our nonintrusive retrofit solutions are effective, economical, and adaptable to continuous operations.
