Naturalistic Engineering
MKA’s Civic Specialist Group has collaborated on 56 park projects up to 130 acres in size, covering everything from small urban "pocket parks," heavily used neighborhood parks, restorative undertakings, waterfront improvement efforts, and world-class destination parks. All of our designs feature a high level of sustainability, maximizing the opportunity to celebrate storm water and incorporating naturalistic engineering techniques that reconnect visitors to the environment. Whether supporting artwork, engineering wetlands, resculpting the earth, or creating an inviting place to shelter, educate, or entertain, our park designs speak the language of the land.
