“My father worked as a carpenter building single-family homes,” Kevin explained. “When I was six, he took me to work with him as part of a ‘Career Day’ program created by my elementary school, and I took immense pride in sweeping the floors and picking up construction debris, jump-starting my fascination with the construction industry. From that point forward, I was a sponge, learning as much about buildings as I possibly could.”

At MKA, Kevin leads high-rise work in regions with significant wind and seismic demands and helps advance performance-based design approaches that support better building performance, construction efficiency, and reduced embodied carbon.  He also serves in leadership positions on multiple national technical committees shaping future codes and standards and shares his insights through publications and conference presentations.

This recognition reflects Kevin’s commitment to collaboration, research-informed practice, and mentorship of the next generation of engineers.

Congratulations, Kevin!
