Seattle Asian Art Museum Expansion

Marking the first major renovation since its construction in 1933, the architecturally sensitive and deferential modernization, expansion, and seismic strengthening of this Art Deco museum seamlessly integrates old and new structure on a sloping site.  Located in historic Olmsted-designed Volunteer Park, the project adds 11,500 ft² of new space for galleries, conference rooms, a conservation lab, a community art gallery, educational programming, and 2,000 ft² of space for loading and receiving.
