T-Mobile Park

A five-story, 47,000-seat stadium serving the MLB Seattle Mariners, this venue’s signature feature is a three-segment retractable roof spanning 655 ft long and 610 ft wide, covering more than eight acres and weighing more than 11,000 tons.  MKA designed the roof structure to incorporate a first-of-its-kind damping system with eight large shock absorbers to mitigate thermal and seismic forces and reduce the roof’s dynamic earthquake loads by 50%.
