University of Nevada, Reno John Tulloch Business Building

This five-story, 128,000-ft² facility is the new home for the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business providing a gateway entrance and connection between the city and the expanding campus. The project was delivered under a Public-Private Partnership (P3) contracting method, the first of its kind for the university. The building offers classrooms, computer labs, and auditoriums merged with social spaces such as a cafeteria and outdoor terraces. MKA’s structural design uses no perimeter columns at the south section of this steel-framed L-shaped building, which allows the 300-seat auditorium and office space to visually float over the double-height outdoor plaza.
