UW Medical Center Bed Tower Expansion

This eight-story bed tower adjacent to an existing medical center facility features diagnostic imaging space, 32 acute-care nursing beds, and a 50-bed neonatal intensive care unit, all of which accommodate significant vibration requirements. Design for the two-acre site also included relocation of existing utilities, grading, drainage, utilities, and paving, as well as turning studies that allowed the architect to determine the best loading dock organization and strategic column arrangement.
