COMMUNITY OUTREACH
MKA employees are out in the community making a difference. For example, we founded the Washington chapter of the ACE (Architecture/Construction/Engineering) student mentoring program, we volunteer lecture for University of Washington graduate-level structural engineering classes, and we support our community through donations and employee participation in events such as Food Lifeline’s “Food Frenzy,” local science fairs, United Way, and many others. ENGINEERING INTERNSHIPS
The mission of MKA’s internship program is simple: we want to show you what we do and how we do it. MKA generally brings in 5 to 7 interns each summer, letting them experience true hands-on engineering. Students are part of a project team and exposed to actual day-to-day engineering. They work on world-class projects currently in design; validate their chosen career direction; find unmatched training opportunities; have access to MKA’s extensive continuing education and training programs; and attend any of MKA’s 21 technical specialist group meetings.
MKA Structural Interns typically work for 2 or 3 months during the summer between their bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
Applications for 2020 summer internships will be accepted from December 1, 2019 through February 28, 2020.
