MKA is committed to providing international leadership in the creation of structural and civil engineering systems that improve safety, aesthetics, economy, constructability, and sustainability. We provide solutions for the best "architectural-type" projects around the world for owners, architects, developers, and contractors. What we do at MKA, as leaders with global reach in our profession, helps set the stage for many. To sustain those goals, we seek the best in the engineering industry.
LIFE AT MKA
MKA’s staff is diverse, driven, and collaborative. This spirit is exhibited both "on the court" and off. There are many opportunities to get to know your colleagues, such as our softball and soccer teams, running group, golf tournament, holiday party, summer picnic, young engineer’s forum, and more. COMMUNITY OUTREACH
MKA employees are out in the community making a difference. For example, we founded the Washington chapter of the ACE (Architecture/Construction/Engineering) student mentoring program, we volunteer lecture for University of Washington graduate-level structural engineering classes, and we support our community through donations and employee participation in events such as Food Lifeline’s "Food Frenzy," local science fairs, United Way, and many others.

ENGINEERING INTERNSHIPS
The mission of MKA’s internship program is simple: we want to show you what we do and how we do it. MKA generally brings in 5 to 7 interns each summer, letting them experience true hands-on engineering. Students are part of a project team and exposed to actual day-to-day engineering. They work on world-class projects currently in design; validate their chosen career direction; find unmatched mentorship opportunities; attend MKA’s extensive continuing education and training programs; and attend any of MKA’s 21 technical specialist group meetings.
MKA Structural Interns typically work for 2 or 3 months during the summer between their bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
Apply between December 1 and February 28 for summer 2019 opportunities.
