Little Caesars Arena

Detroit, MI

State-of-the-art 82,684-m² (890,000-ft²) multipurpose NHL hockey/NBA basketball arena with 20,000 seats in two levels that includes suites, loge boxes, and club seating; 44,779 m² (482,000 ft²) of parking; 20,903 m² (225,000 ft²) of auxiliary buildings; and one additional sheet of practice/community-use ice.  The arena, which anchors a large-mixed use development, will also house locker and training rooms, concession and restaurant areas, press box and media spaces, a loading dock, and broadcast truck production facilities.  "Ring slabs" at the event and concourse levels resist lateral pressures, and the roof features a "tension grid" to facilitate extensive rigging.
