Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Wins 2026 SEAOI Engineering Award

We’re proud to announce that the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library has received a 2026 SEAOI Excellence in Structural Engineering Award for Juror’s Favorite / Most Innovative Structure.

Presented by the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois, the award recognizes the project’s innovative structural engineering and technical achievement.

MKA’s Matt Stried and Dave Eckmann accept the award from SEAOI

Designed to blend seamlessly into the North Dakota landscape, the library combines ambitious sustainability goals with creative structural solutions, including low-carbon concrete, mass timber, and a hybrid structural system that supports its distinctive form. We’re honored to be part of the team behind this remarkable project and grateful to our collaborators, including Snohetta, JLG Architects , JE Dunn Construction, and Heyer Engineering, whose expertise helped make it possible.

The library is set to open with a Grand Opening celebration on July 4, 2026 in Medora, North Dakota.
