MKA’s Convention Center Specialist Group has been involved with the structural design of 69 convention centers representing over 31 million square feet of program space and over $8.2 billion worth of construction. These structures range from at-grade buildings to multi-story stacked venues with individual program areas up to 8 million square feet and construction costs up to $745 million. Our designs of the Hawaii Convention Center, Minneapolis Convention Center, and Washington State Convention Center all received top national awards for structural engineering excellence from the American Council of Engineering Companies, as did 12 of our long-span projects.
